Description
Composition:
A tablet contains: calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, sorbitol, inulin, corn starch, magnesium stearate, mint and lemon flavor, aspartame/ acesulfame sweeteners.
Uses of ingredients in GoStoma:
Calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate are two active ingredients with antacid properties that have been widely used for many years to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, mild indigestion, and stomach pain with or without ulcers.
Calcium carbonate is one of the strongest over-the-counter antacids, stronger than magnesium carbonate when used alone and is also known to have a rapid and long-lasting neutralizing effect. However, the antacid effect will be increased when magnesium carbonate is combined with calcium carbonate. In the lower esophagus or in the stomach, calcium and magnesium carbonate react with hydrochloric acid to form water and soluble mineral salts.
